As an Edger, you will experience ministering with a very unique people group in a very unique context.
The Roma people (aka, Gypsy people), originating from India about 1000 years ago, have been persecuted and outcast since their arrival in Europe. Despite this, they have maintained a unique culture, religious practice, and identity.
In this region, they tend to live in small, isolated communities on the edges of main “Croatian” cities. As such, they are often forgotten when it comes to evangelism and the benefits of the larger society. They struggle with very high unemployment, very low income, and prejudice. However, their communities are very lively and distinct!
The Roma people are very open to hearing about God’s word and participating in ministry events. This is in stark contrast to the mainly secularized Europe. The goal of ministry with the Roma is not simply participation in ministry events, but lives that are truly changed into disciples of Jesus Christ.
As a member of our team for the summer, you will learn how to work to make disciples of Jesus Christ in a complex context of a highly superstitious people who have low income. You will see how to effectively share the Gospel while being faithful to God’s commands to practically help those in need.
The Roma are a people unlike any other in the world and loving them in the name of Jesus Christ is a life changing experience! For more information, please see romachristianfellowship.org

The missionary will need to raise funds to join this ministry
